Calls for EMUNI University Projects
Call for EMUNI Summer Semester and Doctoral Research Seminars 2011
We are kindly inviting EMUNI partner institutions to send proposals that will be promoted under the umbrella of EMUNI University. Courses and doctoral research seminars already planned to be organised in the Academic Year 2010/11 can be delivered by EMUNI partner institutions in the frame of the EMUNI Professional School 2011.
Characteristics of EMUNI Summer Semester:
- Location: in different countries around the Mediterranean, at EMUNI partner institutions;
- Language: English, French or one of the languages of the Union for the Mediterranean;
- Term of delivery: June - September 2011;
- During the delivery of the course social events and trips are organised.
- Multicultural learning environment (participants, lecturers);
- Courses should focus mainly on areas of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM): De-pollution of the Mediterranean, Maritime and Land Highways, Civil Protection, Alternative Energies, Higher Education and Research, Mediterranean Business Development Initiative;
- Participants who successfully complete their study obligations receive the Transcript of records with obtained ECTS credits from responsible university.
Characteristics of Doctoral Research Seminars:
- Location: at universities and research units which are partners of EMUNI University;
- Language: English, French or one of the languages of the Union for the Mediterranean;
- Term of delivery: January - June 2011;
- Linkage of the seminar with Union for the Mediterranean topics;
- Possibility of involvement of EMUNI experts;
- Participants will be able to elaborate their doctoral thesis, write research papers under the supervision of professors and develop interdisciplinary approach in a multicultural learning environment.
- The opportunity to prepare the idea for new study programmes and disseminate the research through International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS).
The contribution from EMUNI University will be:
- promotion (website, leaflets and other promotion activities),
- certificates of attendance for all participants,
- promotion material for participants (IJEMS journal and other publications),
- evaluation of the project and preparation of final report (we will ask you to submit short report within one month of the conclusion of the activity).
