Join EMUNI

Basic information regarding EMUNI and the procedure of joining us:

• EMUNI main objectives are to contribute to the creation of a common higher education and research area and to the enhancement of intercultural dialogue.

• On 26 November 2008 the constitutive session of the General Assembly of EMUNI University was held in Barcelona. There, the University Statute was adopted and the institutional bodies were elected. [University Bodies, Statute]

• Members of EMUNI are Higher Education Institutions, Research Institutions, Higher Education and Research Networks. EMUNI has also signed some agreements and memorandums with other international institutions, which are active in the Euro-Mediterranean Region (Anna Lindh Foundation, Alliance of Civilizations, etc.).

• With the institutions, which are interested in joining EMUNI, at this stage EMUNI University is signing the Letter of intent for cooperation. This is the first step toward the full membership in EMUNI and it represents the basis for collaboration on common project.

• Every institution, which expresses its intention to join EMUNI (i.e. sign the Letter of intent for cooperation) will receive the invitation to present its institution, the reasons for joining EMUNI and its possible contribution to the EMUNI University at the next General Assembly (in November). The Secretariat shall receive a written presentation of the candidate. The General Assembly in its session will decide on admission of new members.
