Aveiro, Portugal, 23 August. At the closing ceremony of the AoC and EMUNI summer school, hosted by the University of Aveiro, the success of the objectives was stressed by Dr. Jorge Sampaio, the former President of the Portuguese Republic and the High Representative of the Alliance of Civilizations.

"We had three fundamental objectives when we planned this summer school: opening minds, developing projects together and building bridges. And from what I saw in those days, we are all to be congratulated", said Dr. Jorge Sampaio, at the closing ceremony. The University of Aveiro hosted 108 young people from 44 different nationalities.

The Rector of the University of Aveiro stressed in his speech that the university was grateful to host this summer school: "This initiative was a success and I hope that very soon it can be repeated, because it is always rewarding to see such harmony and understanding among many young people from around the world, "said the Rector, Prof. Manuel António Assunção.

After a brief lecture / discussion by Dr. Khalil Shariff, Aga Khan Foundation, the diplomas and awards fees were delivered to participants by the organizers, including Dr. Joseph Mifsud, EMUNI President.
