Dubrovnik, Croatia, 21 May. The President of EMUNI Joseph Mifsud delivered the keynote speech at the Seminar which focuses on Strategic Public Diplomacy.  Prof. Mifsud was invited by the Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, of Croatia, H.E. Dr. Mladen Andrlić.

Present for this session were the Head of the CAAS, University of Zagreb, Vlasta Brunsko, Dr. Andro Vlahusic, Mayor of the City of Dubrovnik, which will be a candidate city for a future edition of the Mediterranean Games, and HE Dr. Gerhard Pfanzelter, Secretary General  of the Central European Executive in Trieste.

The President of EMUNI explained the objectives behind the project in Slovenia, and how EMUNI was networking within the Union for the Mediterranean on the six priority projects.  The presentation entitled Academic diplomacy in the UFM, created a lot of interest and talks were started to open this annual international forum to full Union for the Mediterranean partners as from next year and to focus specifically on the diplomatic efforts which relate to the six priority areas of the UFM.

Directors and fellows of the Diplomatic Academies in Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovakia, Russia, Germany, Czech Republic, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Romania, Switzerland and the USA are attending the event.
