Examinations, qualifications and titles - Second edition

This second edition covers 30 European countries and contains over 1000 terms in their original language on examinations, qualifications and titles at all levels of education. It has been expanded to include officially recognised adult education qualifications and qualifications awarded to pupils with special educational needs.

In the first part, the terms in the language of origin are presented in alphabetical order. Each entry gives the name of the country in which the term is used, grammatical variants and the educational level to which it refers. The explanatory note for an examination indicates how it is organised, its content, the authority concerned and the corresponding qualification. The definition of each certificate, diploma or degree contains information on the length (in years) of the study programme involved, the studies to which the qualification gives access or its recognition on the labour market and, where applicable, the title it confers on its holder.

The second part contains summary tables by country of all terms arranged by educational level and category.
